Handcrafted from solid hardwoods, this timeless Chinese puzzle brings together art, play and tradition. Known as the Tangram, it consists of seven geometric pieces–five triangles, one square, and one parallelogram-that can be arranged into countless shapes. From animals and people to abstract patterns, the possibilities are endless.
Each set is made by hand in my workshop studio from select hardwoods such as maple, walnut, padauk, sapele, birch, white oak and cherry. The natural grain of the wood gives every puzzle its own character. Precision shaping and a smooth, durable finish of mineral oil ensures the pieces fit beautifully together and feel wonderful in your hand. The finish of the pieces is a non toxic mineral oil. The Tangram is more than a pastime–it’s a tool for learning, relaxation and inspiration. It sharpens spatial reasoning and problem-solving, offers a calming, screen-free escape and doubles as a sculptural accent when displayed on a desk or coffee table.
