This unique Chess Set is made of the finest hardwoods. The board is made of Scandinavian Plywood which is solid birch (some of the best plywood in the world and made of solid birch throughout). The wood is laser etched with a unique design for the dark squares. The pieces are made of Golden Rosewood and Maple or an Ebonized wood for the dark pieces and Maple. The pieces are traditional English or French Staunton design. The board measures 17"x17". Each square is 2".
